We were honored to host this year’s Flack Lecturer — an annual award offered by the Swiss Society for Crystallography — Prof. Robert M. Hazen, from the Carnegie Institution for Science, at the University of Geneva. Prof. Hazen delivered an inspiring lecture that explored the origins and evolution of minerals and their profound connections to the history of life on Earth.
